What programs does CPYSC Offer?

CPYSC now offers four programs in order to accommodate more players who wish to learn and compete in the game of soccer.

CPYSC "Minis" - Age 3

We are pleased to offer a  4-week program designed introduce 3 year olds to soccer related games.  The program will be designed for our youngest players that will keep them moving and active while they get plenty of touches on the ball.

CPYSC Kickers - Ages 4-7

The CPYSC Kickers is a developmental program, where children learn soccer by playing small sided games.  The emphasis of the program is on FUN and learning the basic skills of soccer (dribbling, passing, and shooting).  No scores or team standings are kept to promote the joy of the sport without worry of winning or losing.

CPYSC Intramural Soccer

We are please to offer a recreational program participating in the Lebanon Valley Youth Soccer League. In this program our teams will compete against local intramural programs such as Annville and Nothern Lebanon.  Playing in the LVYSL will introduce players to travel soccer while providing a solid educational program that is based on small sided games.

How Competitive is CPYSC Travel Soccer?

Four levels of travel soccer are available:  Premier or Select, Division I, Division II and Division III. Every level requires more commitment and ability.  Most of CPYSC’s teams play in Division II soccer.  Some of the older teams play in Division I and some of our younger teams play Division III. Competition is challenging at all levels. Playing on a team takes a serious time commitment from both players and parents.

Our league play includes teams from the Greater Harrisburg area. Most tournaments also take place locally.

Most of CPYSC’s teams travel less than one hour to away games.  Some of our higher-level teams play indoor during the winter months.

How Much Time Do I Have to Commit To Practices?

Because we are a competitive club practice time is very important.  For the most part, teams practice twice a week for about an hour and a half (three hours a week).

What Should I Expect From A Travel Program?

Many people fear that a travel program is too competitive and driven by a “winning is everything attitude” that will impact players.  The fact is that travel soccer helps to develop confident young men and women; it allows kids to meet kids from other central PA communities; it provides fun, laughter, and camaraderie; and most importantly it keeps kids and parents active together.

Where do I go if I have questions or a problem?

CPYSC’s Board meets on a monthly basis.  Questions should be directed to the Board as a whole or for one of the specific directors (i.e. coaching, public relations, etc.).

If you have any specific questions or would like to volunteer your time as part of the CPYSC experience, contact any board member listed on the "Contact Us" link.
